Google released a new YouTube Shorts Remix tool that allows users to edit clips and even add themselves directly into videos. Gemini Omni. When you click on the Remix icon at the bottom of the YouTube Short you will see the option to “reimagine” it. You can ask Gemini to transform a video from a standard clip into an animated film, a pixel-art piece, or even a horror found footage. You can alter video content by adding background actors or dressing up people as pirates, for example.
Video creators can disable or enable the reimagining feature. You can also disable remixing if, for obvious and understandable reason, you do not want others to be able manipulate a clip of your child. Google says shorts that are remixed using Omni have a watermark digital and a link to the original.
