Michael Calore: Billboards that are difficult to understand
Lauren Goode: It was like I thought it would be “What? No, keep me in the land of Burrata and Caravaggio.”
Michael Calore: Lauren, it’s a shame to say that I only just noticed you on the show to discuss AI agents. It’s true.
Lauren Goode: Great.
Michael Calore: We’ve been talking about this a great deal in the past year, as have our listeners. But we aren’t tired of it. We’re having a fun discussion about AI agents today.
Lauren Goode: If you promise fun, then I am in.
Michael Calore: I can. I can.
Lauren Goode: All right, let’s do it. I’m excited.
Michael Calore: We are moving past the hype to put AI agents in action for us. Evan Ratliff will be joining us to talk about the company he founded, which is made up of AI executives and employees. Evan Ratliff, welcome to the show.
Evan Ratliff: I am thrilled to be in this place.
Lauren Goode: Evan, I’m also a WIRED original. Your time at WIRED was long, correct?
Evan Ratliff: It’s a WIRED old-schooler. WIRED only existed for a short time, a couple years back, but I contributed to WIRED over many decades.
Lauren Goode: For how many years were you gone? You’re a legend.
Evan Ratliff: Yeah, it happened in 2009. It’s crazy to think that I was only gone for a month. I have talked so much about it over the years. I tried to pretend to die for a month so people could find me. However, it would have been on my tombstone.
