What did we find?
Posting on Threads at the right time is important
It is best to use Threads at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Posts published then had the highest median engagement — that is likes, replies, and reposts — across all the data we analyzed.

In general, Most weekday mornings offer great opportunities to catch the sunrise.
An interesting ‘outlier’ time that popped up in our study was On Sunday, 1 am. The heatmap above shows that it is one of the five most popular posting times on Threads.

Threads is best used on Thursdays

In terms of performance, images outperformed videos by 0.58%, links by 36.77%, and text by 60.06%.
Even though Threads feels like a relaxed text-based environment, images still make the user stop scrolling. To stand out, it’s worthwhile to experiment with images and videos that are engaging or have a strong visual impact.
That said, I’d suggest taking this data with a pinch of salt — it doesn’t mean you have to suddenly start creating carousels or videos in order to grow on Threads. You should choose the content format that you are most comfortable creating.

Word of caution: Post timing is not enough to save a poor post. Even though timing is a great way to give solid posts that boost on social media, it doesn’t guarantee success.
Quality and relevance to your audience are the two most important factors when it comes time for performance on Threads.
