Research & Cutting‑Edge Agents

  1. AlphaEvolve (Google DeepMind) – An evolutionary coding agent powered by Gemini, AlphaEvolve autonomously invents and optimizes algorithms across domains—including mathematics, data center scheduling, chip design, and language model training. The system is general-purpose and can be used to improve or discover the best solutions in a range of algorithms problems.
  2. Asimov (Reflection) – Built by Reflection, a startup founded by former top Google researchers, Asimov is a modular, multi-agent software engineering assistant that focuses on code comprehension, team-wide collaboration, and integrating multiple communication/data sources (code, emails, Slack, docs). The evaluations show that developers prefer its responses to Claude Code when working on open-source projects, but a broader industry assessment is still ongoing.
  3. Manus– Manus, a multi-agent system with autonomous AI capabilities for general purposes. A central executor works in conjunction with subagents that are more specialized, such as planners or verifiers. to independently plan, reason, and carry out complex tasks—such as building websites, drafting emails, coding, and data gathering—without ongoing user input. Manus is designed to automate tasks without user input.
  4. AutoGPT – This open-source system, one of the first autonomous GPT-4 agents, plans and independently executes multi-step tasks via the internet. AutoGPT is a system that organizes tasks, subtasks and processes with minimum user interaction.
  5. OpenAI Operator – Operator is a browser-based agent that autonomously handles repetitive web tasks—like filling forms, shopping, and scheduling—by visually interacting with websites. GPT-4o is used to provide multimodal functionality and it’s available as a Pro user option for an ever-growing list of real world applications

Frameworks & SDKs

  1. Microsoft AutoGen / Autogen – A comprehensive SDK for building collaborative, multi-agent systems. The SDK features a modular architecture with error handling, logging and message passing, as well as containerized execution. It supports both human-in the-loop workflows as well as completely autonomous ones.
  2. LangGraph – A stateful orchestration framework that enables building agent workflows with graph-based chaining. Integrated memory, support of cyclical flow, robust orchestration, and deployment tools are some key features.
  3. Semantic Kernel (Microsoft) – Open-source SDK for connecting LLMs (C#, Python, Java) with application logic. This SDK enables planning, function call, prompt templating and composition of advanced orchestrated agent behavior with enterprise-grade extensibility and reliability.
  4. CrewAI – A flexible, role-based multi-agent framework for quickly prototyping custom “crews” The LangChain platform is used to interoperate (modular agents and agent teams).
  5. OpenAI Swarm – A lightweight experimental toolkit aimed at studying multi-agent coordination patterns using OpenAI models

Toolkits & Low‑Code Platforms

  1. IBM WatsonX.ai / Orchestrate – A low-code enterprise builder for AI workflows, featuring best-in-class governance, CRM automation, support for third-party models, and orchestration of agents for business tasks.
  2. Langflow – Visual workflow builder tailored to multi-agent system creation; offers drag-and-drop support, custom Python components, and embedding of agent modules for flexible, visualized design.
  3. Zapier (AI Agents) – Integrates no-code agentic automation using natural language instructions, connecting thousands of services for automated workflows.
  4. Flowise – No-code platform enabling construction of AI agents with drag-and-drop modules, supporting over 100 LLMs, vector databases, observability, and robust execution tracing.

Enterprise & Cloud‑Scale Platforms

  1. Amazon Bedrock AgentCore / Strands Agents – AWS’s agent framework for building and securely deploying scalable agents with marketplace integration and robust governance.
  2. Google Project Mariner / Agent Mode – DeepMind’s Mariner is a Gemini-powered, browser-based agent for automating routine web tasks—integrated with Gemini and Vertex AI and focusing on browser automation for tasks like shopping and scheduling.
  3. Microsoft Copilot Studio + Azure SRE agent – Copilot Studio allows enterprises to build agentic solutions within Microsoft 365 platforms, including dedicated SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) agents for DevOps automation.
  4. Relevance AI – Provides enterprise-grade agent orchestration with visual workflow design, native tool connectors, governance, and comprehensive support.
  5. ServiceNow Agentic Agents – Built-in into ServiceNow workflows, focusing on automatic process routing, compliance, and orchestration of complex enterprise tasks.
  6. Salesforce Agentforce – Salesforce’s newest autonomous agent platform, targeting automation for sales, CRM, and service workflows with intelligent, agentic solutions.
