Galaxy AI Features – How to turn them on and off

You may not want to give Galaxy AI the ability to read and edit everything that you write or do, or you might find AI features too intrusive. You can turn some of these features off on Galaxy smartphones.

Open Settings and choose AI to see which AI features are active. Galaxy AI. Samsung’s AI is more powerful than most people realize. It can perform a wide range of tasks, from trancribing audio recordings to providing personalized fitness insights.

Galaxy AI’s features are all accessible from the Galaxy AI menu.

Changes can be made by tapping on the Galaxy AI features. It will vary depending on what you choose. There are also sub-features. All of them have toggle switches that allow the user to switch on or off the tool. Also, you get descriptions of how data is handled.

Choose Photo assistFor example, there are currently three listed tools: Generative edit AI can be used to manipulate and remove images. Image Sketch You can use this tool to convert basic shapes into photographs. Portrait studio You can use this feature to convert photos into sketches and cartoons. To turn on/off all of these features, use the toggle switch located at the top.

How to enable on-Device processing

Open Galaxy AI in Settings of a Samsung Galaxy S25 and you will see the following: Data processing is only possible on devices The toggle switch is located at the end of the AI features list. The Snapdragon 8 Elite processors in these phones are powerful enough to handle some tasks without having to transfer data from and to the cloud.

Some jobs are affected, but not all. When you turn on the device processing toggle switch, you will notice some features no longer work. Samsung hasn’t provided a definitive list which features work without the cloud. However, automatic summaries are supported as is generative AI. among those mentioned As needing Internet access.
