The search ended when you clicked on the link, but AI Mode was still in place, where it had been, within the previous tab. Once you use the AI Mode tool to start a Chrome-based search, it will remain on your screen.

A new feature of the update is that it allows you to search for multiple tabs, which may have a connection by topic. You can select multiple tabs to be analyzed by the Google Search tool. Click the + menu or the new option inside of the Google Search field. As part of the query, you can attach documents and images.
