Google TV now allows you to view YouTube Shorts directly from the homepage without needing to launch a YouTube app. Google TV’s homepage is soon to introduce a “Short videos for youThis row features an individualized video feed.

Google has not specified a date, but the company did say that it will be rolling out this update in US devices sometime during summer. Google did mention that videos shown via this feature would be rated by the company. You can start by clicking here. YouTube Shorts is a vertical video-hosting service that could eventually support TikTok, Instagram Reels and other similar services.

Google TV’s Gemini tab also includes support for Google’s Nano Banana image-generating AI model, as well as Veo video generation. Google Photos will also get new Search and Remix features on Google TV. Users can search with voice for photos and then transform them to a different style such as an oil or watercolor painting.

For now, these features are only available on Gemini enabled devices in the US. Globally, Dynamic Slideshow is available. This feature allows users to choose any Google Photos album and display it as a screen saver when their TVs are idle.
